Velocity Camp
Three Days of Learning, Racing, and Unforgettable Memories
Drivers from across the United States and around the world came together for three days of coaching, competition, technical education, and unforgettable experiences on and off the track.
What happens when you bring together some of the best karting coaches in the world, a group of motivated drivers, and three days dedicated entirely to driver development?
Earlier this month, we set out to find out at the inaugural Velocity Camp. Over three days at Orlando Kart Center, drivers immersed themselves in an experience designed to accelerate their development both on and off the track.
Drivers traveled from across the United States and as far away as Brazil to take part in the camp, creating an incredible atmosphere of camaraderie, competition, and shared passion for karting. Throughout the week, Mini and Junior drivers worked alongside an elite coaching staff of accomplished racers and industry professionals, all focused on helping each participant improve both on and off the track.
On-Track Development
Over three days, drivers logged extensive seat time through structured drills, qualifying simulations, race simulations, and competitive challenges. Every session was designed with a purpose—helping drivers improve racecraft, consistency, decision-making, and confidence behind the wheel. Whether they were preparing for their next local race or competing nationally, drivers left with
new skills and valuable experience they can immediately apply on track.
Beyond the Driver’s Seat
Velocity Camp wasn’t just about driving. Campers participated in a detailed kart review with Caden McQueen, tackled a tire challenge, and got an inside look at Velocity Racing’s dyno trailer, engine program, and parts operation. These sessions gave drivers a deeper understanding of the technical side of karting and showed what it takes behind the scenes to build speed and performance.
The impact of Velocity Camp extended far beyond lap times. Families consistently praised the organization, coaching, and balance between competition, education, and fun.
Drivers left with new skills, greater confidence, and a deeper understanding of the sport, while parents appreciated the opportunity for their drivers to learn from some of the best in karting.
Families traveled from across the United States and around the world to be part of the experience, and by the end of the week, new friendships had formed both on and off the track. It’s those relationships, shared experiences, and memories that will stay with us long after the camp ended.
